What do the different mass balance dates mean in the certificate on the ISCC HUB?

Modified on Mon, 23 Mar at 7:30 PM

Mass balance start date of main site: This date refers to the first day of the initial certification period.

Mass balance start date for further sites (external storage facilities and dependent collecting points) refers to the first day when this site was added to the certificate, i.e. when the mass balance started. Mass balance start date for further sites could be same as mass balance start date for main site, but mass balance start date for further sites could also be at a later point in time.

Mass balance start dates for main and further sites are required under ISCC EU.

In case of a Certification Body change, the new CB should reach out to the System User to clarify the mass balance starting date. The mass balance starting date is accessible via the certification history in the ISCC HUB or on the ISCC Certificate Database.
