How should transport emissions be calculated if transportation distance downstream of the final processing unit is not known?

Modified on Thu, 1 May at 4:27 PM

Should the exact distance for downstream transport and distribution not be known to the final processing unit, the disaggregated values for transport and distribution as provided in the Annexes V and VI of the RED III may be used. Please note that DDV values are only available for the transportation downstream of the final fuel producer.

If a final fuel is produced for which no DDV values are available, a conservative approach must be used, i.e. transport distances across Europe.
