What is the UDB?

Modified on Thu, 2 Jul at 1:23 PM

The Union Database (UDB) is a traceability system developed and managed by the European Commission for liquid and gaseous renewable fuels and recycled carbon fuels. Its purpose is to ensure transparency and traceability throughout the supply chain, from the point of origin of raw materials to the point where fuels are placed on the EU market. The UDB helps prevent double counting, irregularities, and fraud in accordance with the Renewable Energy Directive (RED II/RED III).
